In 1988, Eric Miller – a Brooklyn entrepreneur in his early 20s surveying the market in New York City – realized that there were no reasonably priced soft drinks in the market. This is when the simple idea of creating affordable and great-tasting beverages came to him.
With this insightful new idea, he vowed to create an affordable quality product for his local NYC community with a diverse portfolio – going beyond the usual typical colas with more interesting flavors. This is how Tropical Fantasy, a light and fun drink at a price of 50 cents, was born. It became an overnight success.
He later expanded the Tropical Fantasy portfolio to include iced teas, fruit juice cocktails, and lemonades. In Eric’s words, Brooklyn Bottling Company delivers a “quality product with an honest price” to consumers.
As consumers became more health conscious, the company launched more exotic lemonades and cocktail juices with only 50 calories or less per serving. Most recently, they launched a Tropical Fantasy Aloe Vera drink, spurred by the plant’s healthy attributes and delicious taste. The deliciously refreshing drink comes in a bottle with a modern upscale design.
With reasons ranging from health to fitness to fun, our consumers have increasingly given importance to sports.
The Tropical Fantasy brand can be found today across 35 states, and it is sold through 60 distributors.
